About Us
The Prince Arts & Rural Development Society (PARDS) has been the creation of a group of educated unemployed youths met together and shared their dreams among each other to work for the social cause about 15 years back. The group was formally registered as a NGO/Society under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and FCRA from Government of India, 12 A, 80G in the name of PRINCE ART & RURAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY. The organization implemented different Government, NABARD,UN agency, Development Partners for rural and community development programs such as Education ,Livelihood, women empowerment, environment , water &Sanitation ,natural resource management, land and agriculture promotion, income generation for the deprived, disadvantaged and economically/ socially backward people in its project area. SHGs, CBOs, Youth Clubs, adolescent girls Clubs are promoted by Prince Art & Rural Development Society. The Gender equity is the cross cutting issues of the all the projects implemented by the organization PRINCE ART & RURAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY.(PARDS) assisted the following projects with government/UN agencies/and development partners
- Implementing agency of Water Conservation & Land Development Scheme under MADA prototype scheme at Giridih/Awareness program to SHG village women, farmers club, adolescent girls on right to education Women SHG Promotion with support of NABARD and NABARD Finance.
- Awareness program of adolescent girls on gender and gender segregated sanitation.
- Promoted education, including special education and employment enhancing vocation skills especially among youth, women, excluded women, and the differently ambled and livelihood enhancement projects. Awareness generation on Literacy Campaign about the reduction of school drop outs, Gender mainstreaming, Sanitation rights for Girls and boys schools
- Women Empowerment, Gram Sabha Empowerment, Right to Information, M-NREGA. Agriculture livelihood, nonfarm and off far,
- Strengthened the Block Resource Center (BRC) of Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Jharkhand in all Eight Blocks of Dhanbad District and Skill Development Training under SGSY
- Environment Awareness Campaign on Tree and organic Plantation/Training (Tailoring, Poultry, and Bamboo Craft) for SHG Members in Entrepreneurship Development under SGSY. Special focus on women headed family
- Livelihood promotion through bamboo craft making, Tailoring Piggery for SHG members in blocks of Giridih district under SGSY special focus on dalit (marginalised) community and Tribal's community
- Malnutrition reduction and promotion of the Infant young feeding practices. PARDS is having expertise to conduct extensive Information, education and communication(IEC) larger amount behavior change for community Micro Insurance for rural communities supported by the Life Insurance Corporation of India as part of social security.
